oregon 300 problem

This isn't specifically for the oregon, but it will work in all garmin models...

Go to http://www8.garmin.com/support/download_de...d=3645#Instruct

and download that file. Do not run it, but open the exe with winzip or winrar. Browse through the GMobileCard folder then into the Garmin folder, inside is the gmapbmap.img file. Extract that file and send it to the Garmin folder of your oregon. You now have a basemap again, although it is non routable.

There are also some other ones listed here for the Ique that also work, the same general thing applies though, do not run the installer, find the gmapbmap.img file and extract it.

Of course you will be missing the DEM shading.
