i am a first time gps buyer and am wondering if the Magellan Triton 400 AdventurePack is a good gps.

I have a Triton 400. I like mine. It's paperless. I have the Nat Geo TOPO state series. I like that too.

 

You can get it cheaper Here without the adventure pack. There's a website that is making state TOPOs for cheaper Here.

i would buy the state searis but dose it come with canada (thats wher i live)

No, canada is not part of the US.

 

But you van get canada TOPO's here
