+wimseyguy
What a strange choice of vessel for the trans-oceanic portion of the voyage. Quote Link to comment
+bittsen
Those folks at Google have a sense of humor. I was plotting a course to the Czech Republic once and the directions said to SWIM across the Atlantic ocean. Quote Link to comment
GOF and Bacall
I have an electronic device I carry with me that helps me navigate from point to point. Do I need this functionality from the site? That aside Wimseyguy is right. My arms are tired just thinking about it. Quote Link to comment
+butrflybec
That's hilarious...that's quite a kayaking adventure!! shoo! Quote Link to comment
+Gamaliel
I love how the directions instruct you to cross the entire island of Hawaii (on foot? hitchhiking?) before getting back in your kayak and heading towards Japan. Or perhaps you switch kayaks like they switched horses on the Pony Express. Quote Link to comment
+plumbrokeacres
that's funny guess you load your car on the kayak? Quote Link to comment
+Mike & Kate
That was hilarious. I can't help picturing some of the storm scenes from "A Perfect Storm", except with some random guy in a kayak. Quote Link to comment
+Ockette
That was hilarious. I can't help picturing some of the storm scenes from "A Perfect Storm", except with some random guy in a kayak. Been done. Quote Link to comment
+The Jester
It would be a shorter trip if you head up past the Aleutian Islands - that's the great circle route from Seattle - you'd even have more places to stop and resupply. Quote Link to comment
+mchaos
HAHAHA, that's awesome. Quote Link to comment

sabrefan7
I tried to go to Dublin Ireland it could not calculate the directions Quote Link to comment
GOF and Bacall
I tried to go to Dublin Ireland it could not calculate the directions That's 'cause you can't get there from here. You have to go someplace else first. Quote Link to comment
+flask
ok, that's WAY too funny. Quote Link to comment
+mtn-man
Ha ha, give new meaning to LOL. I did just that!!! Quote Link to comment
+paleolith
It appears that they have one trans-oceanic "easter egg" active at a time. When I became aware of the "swim across the Atlantic Ocean" leg a year or two ago, there were no others. Now the Pacific kayak crossing has been added, but apparently the Atlantic swim has been dropped. Edward Quote Link to comment
+sterni2009
Yeah, "swim across the ocean" I once was told by google maps. But after that I never saw it again. Now it is kayaking. I like that sense of humor Edited July 19, 2009 by sterni2009 Quote Link to comment
