+andreagl
Hi everyone, ive been geoaching now for 12 months and have just been reading about benchmarking on the Groundspeak web site. Please can you tell me if these are world wide like geocaches or just in the US? I live in Manchester in the UK and would love to give this a try it sounds really interesting Quote Link to comment
southpawaz
Sorry, the benchmarks listed on geocaching.com database are derived from a database maintained by a US government agency, the National Geodetic Survey, so the vast majority of the benchmarks are in the US and some territories. You might give this site a try on your side of the ocean: Trigpointing UK. Happy Hunting! Quote Link to comment

+jwahl
The Waymarking site probably has several categories that include various kinds of marks all over the place. For a while about 98% of the marks being posted in the Public Land Survey Waymarking group were actually markers in the UK. Quote Link to comment
