+Slodge123
Hi Is it just me or is the Oregon 300 a 400t without the maps? I have some European Topo maps that I bought for my Vista HCx will they install on the Oregon or are they different maps? I'm looking at the oregon for the geocaching functionality ie paperless, are there any alternatives to look at? Thanks for any advice Quote Link to comment

It also has less built in memory, so if you want to add all the maps a 400t has, you simply have to buy a microSD card (4GB is popular, and not too expensive). I got the 300, added free topo maps to it from gpsfiledepot.com, and am loving it! There are other alternatives for paperless, but I am not too up on teh offerings from Magellen and others. +Slodge123
Thanks both for your posts they helped point me in the right direction. I can get a new 400t fro about £15 more inclusive so that seems to be the best choice. It just seems strange that the prices are so close. Thanks again Quote Link to comment
