adventure caches in South England?

We're going to South England in August and are looking for adventure caches, preferably at the coast. We are looking for caches with difficult terrain or extreme tasks. Especially ones that are tide-dependant.

We would be happy about tips. Thanks!

There's also "Cold and Windy" cache, near Chichester.

 

Do you know which part of the south of England you'll be visiting? Or will you be guided by where the good caches are to be found?

We'll catch the ferry to Dover and we plan to go over to Cornwall, but apart from that we'll go wherever the good caches are. (And castle ruins free of admission to climb on, but I suspect those are rather rare in England...)

Depends what you mean ... there are plenty of castle ruins but very few (if any) will allow you to climb on them. And I suspect almost as few will have free admission!

If you get down to the far end of Cornwall, you might enjoy doing the "Kernow I" cache - not tidal, but a fantastic location and some rock scrambling involved.

The Cave Troll's Lair (south coast, Devon)

 

Look into the light (Exmoor, Devon) This one is a puzzle cache, but it's not too difficult, I think)

 

We haven't done these caches, but they're on our "to do" list.
