+scvmeat
Greetings all! I am searching, but wanted to see if anyone knows of any great deals on micro sd cards for my Vista HCx? I am looking to get the best bang for my buck, but I am also on a budget, so I really don't want to spend more than $20. So far I have found $10 for a Kingston 2 GB from Wal-Mart. Your help and input is greatly appreciated! Quote Link to comment

Your help and input is greatly appreciated! Usually you can find decent deals in the daily Buy.com emails, daddy-o-deals or reseller ratings. I think my last order for them about 6 weeks ago was 2 4gb micro sd w/adapter Kingston for $20 delivered. I watch for their emails and act accordingly. Occasionally I have found a good deal on them along with decent deals on eBay GPSr's and posted them in the sales section. I don't get anything for doing it. These forums aren't what they once were so I am not so keen on doing it anymore. I doubt anyone cares. I know some have snapped up some of my past eBay finds. +Entropy512
Amazon and NewEgg are probably your best bets. $10 for 2GB is a ripoff, you should be able to get a 4GB for the same price elsewhere. SanDisks are usually overpriced but often go on sale. I got my 8GB SanDisk for $25 but that sale ended. You can get 8GB cards for $18-20 from NewEgg and Amazon. Quote Link to comment
+Jeep4two
Instant gratification will cost you. If you can wait a few days for delivery there are much lower cost options out there. For example: Free shipping Kingston 4Gb microSDHC for $8.99 at newegg.com http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16820134527 Or the same basic card in the 8Gb model for $19.99 with free shipping: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16820134717 Not sure about compatibility of the 8Gb with your unit however Hard to compare to China-Marts prices. robertlipe
I'm in line with the above tips and have purchsed memory from buy, amazon, and newegg at various times. Sites like fatwallet, techbargains, and slickdeals make it easy to find the site of the day that's essentially giving flash cards away - and it'll be different tomorrow. Another site that makes it easy to compare street prices is dealram. This site makes it easy to see that a 1GB card is $6 and a 2GB card is $7 and the sweet spot in the curve (where 2x the memory is < 2x the price) is between 8 and 16GB right now. http://dealnews.com/memory/prices/micro-SD...ash/40/8GB.html Quote Link to comment
+Y2KOTA
I just got a 8GB one off of e-bay for $16.50. But same as Jeep4two said, check the max your unit can handle. Quote Link to comment

Yup I got 2 of the Kingston 8 gigs from NEWEGG.. for like $16 each free shipping. They work great I have one in my 60 and I gave one to my Dad for his Etrex Vista. Quote Link to comment
+FierceDeityLink1
Yeah, the going price for 4GB is about $10 and 8GB about $20. I wouldn't buy memory cards from eBay due to the high amount of counterfeit cards. Quote Link to comment
+BigHef32
If you do buy a memory card from Newegg... BEWARE DHL SmartMail. They essentially send the package around the world 3x and drop it at the post office to eventually brings it to you. I waited 13 days on my last SmartMail package. It shipped from Memphis, Tenn to (basically) Cincinnati, Ohio, sat in Ohio for 9 days, then to Olathe, KS where it was given to the USPS to deliver to me in Springfield, MO. Normal shipping should run $3-5 and take 2 days from Memphis to me. *Note: SmartMail may no longer exist. Looks like it's called "Egg Saver" shipping now and claims 3-7 days. Still DHL to USPS.
