Page to the menu with mark, waypoint etc on it Select mark On the next screen OK should be highlighted, Use the down button to move the highlight down to the co-ordinates at the bottom Press enter then use up and down to navigate through the coordinates and enter to select the number/ letter you wish to change, then use up and down to select the character you want to insert, enter again will take you back to the edit location screen. Once you have changed the location select OK at the bottom and it'll take you back to the MARK WAYPOINT screen. Highlight OK and it'll record it in your waypoints. You can also edit the waypoint name by highlighting the number above OK and changing the characters using the same method as above Quote
+jjome Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 Yup, good directions. It took me a few days of looking at the receiver for me to figure that out too. I also have the H. I have found that the easiest way to load multiple caches is to do it from the Garmin site. But I am very new to this. Quote
+Jeep4two Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 I remember getting my eTrex Legend and having this very same issue. I rarely get an instruction book out, but this little issue forced my hand. Good instructions in post 2 Quote
aniyn Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 Read the quickstart guide that came with it. I usually never read instructs ("To turn on your gadget, press the "On" button" - wow, never would have figured that out!), but the ones garmin puts out really help with most of the features you'll ever use. Also, the "download to gps" feature on the cache pages is really handy! No more wondering if you typo'd a coordinate, and it's just way faster! Quote
