So, you want to start a geocoin sales thread....

Hey everyone,

In the last week I have received quite a few emails asking for an update to a thread title. When we get a request through email like that, only one moderator gets it, and then we have to search the geocoin forums, or your posts, to update the title. This slows us down, it takes more time that way. (Especially when the server times out) So rather than email you all personally, I am posting that email here so everyone can all follow the same fast quick easy method to update your sale threads.

You start a thread, gather interest, see how they like it. You have to make your title and subtitle at the time you create the thread. I cannot add a subtitle later on, and that limits the amount text you are allowed, if you have no subtitle.

Then the samples come in (or whatever your next step or update is). You post a post and tell what the update is. Then click on "report this post" on the first post, tell us what you want the new title to be, and one of us changes it for you with a note on the thread, which bumps it to the top for you. Usually it's something to the effect of "Samples are in, see post #22" Or "photos here! See post #83" then everyone knows to scroll through all the posts to the newest update by you.

But keep all of your coin info about one coin in one thread to preserve the history of the coin.

Do the same thing for any other updates, such as Orders open, Coins are in, Coins being shipped, etc.....

If you send the message through email, you could wait days for an answer. This method gets the attention of more than one moderator, and is the easiest, fastest way for us to find your thread, because the report button links us right to the thread, and we don't have to search your posts, or the forums to find it.

So, thank you all, and happy sales.

Another FYI: If the server did time out on you, chances are your post went through anyway. Just refresh the thread, before posting again, and you'll avoid those nasty double posts.
