N8NoahMom
What are challenges??? Sounds fun. How do I find out about events in my area? I would love to get together with a group of other cachers from this area. Quote Link to comment
+briansnat
If you sign up for the weekly mailer (check the box in the email preferences section of your profile) it will list upcoming events in your area. You can also check the event calendar on the home page of this website for events in your state. See the "view event calendar" link near the bottom of the home page. Quote Link to comment
+Chrysalides
What are challenges??? Sounds fun. Challenges are a type of cache where the requirement is to visit a certain number of other types of caches. For example, one might be to visit every county in a state, visit every state capital in the U.S., or cover all 81 terrain / difficulty combo. Example of a DeLorme Challenge Quote Link to comment
+flask
i really wish you'd stop calling them dumb questions; one does not get to be a Knower Of All Things without asking many questions. Quote Link to comment

Good point. These are not dumb questions. A dumb question would be something like : If the forum is down, how do I submit a post to report it? Quote Link to comment

+JoesBar
You can do a search for event caches near you too. Once you are logged onto GC, look for "search for geocaches" on the main page. (not your page but the GC main page.) below your listed home coords, it will have a link labeled, "Advanced seach." click that. the advanced search page comes up. there is a pull down menu there. click that to see, and then highlight, "event cache." then enter your zip code. and click "seek" go to one and have fun.
