We will be in Fairbanks, AK on July 29/30, 2009 and would like to meet up with a cacher to spend some caching time with. We are ending our vacation in Fairbanks and will be departing from the airport in the late afternoon. Someone with a car who could also get us to the airport would be a premium. Contact us through our caching name (Willie & Wilma Bobo) is you have an interest in this request.

Whew!! I saw the sub-topic, "We are looking for a caching buddy in Fairbanks, AK", and I was gonna ask "where was he seen last?". :)

I'm sure your message is going to be moved over to the regional forums by a moderator soon, so you may as well ask over there yourselves.

Something that I've done when travelling is to look at some of the caches in the area I want to go to, and then contact some of the local hiders of those caches.

So you are going to color in Alaska on your All State map. Last year we were in Fairbanks around the middle of July visiting our son. We drove up in our roadtrek van. He drove us around to caches. He is not a geocacher. He is a captain on a 747-400 Freight Liner and is the proud owner of a Piper Supercub that he is in the process of taking off the wheels and putting it on floats. He will probably be on a flight at that time. Good luck and enjoy your stay in Fairbanks. Dick, W7WT

Hey Willie (not sure if you wanted me to use your real name, so I didn't),

Sort of off topic here...

Make sure you save your track data and submit it to the NW Trails project.

Hope you have a nice trip. You're going to have an awesome time.

I think a grand loop would be from Fairbanks to Delta Jct, down to Paxton, over to Cantwell, then back up to Fairbanks.

I'm jealous.

Whatever you do, be safe.

Sam
