This country is going down the toilet!!! Quicker every year it seems...

That is an exceptionally clean toilet!! What cleaning products do you use?

( :) does this help get it moved to OT?)

The only other time I saw a toilet this clean was at a hotel in Maryland while Geoholic28 and I were geocaching our way to the A.P.E. cache there. But that is one clean toilet. See how the light seems to dance off the water?!?!?!

You really should have tried to keep it on topic there GOF by typing "geocaching" with your face or elbow... That's some good topicality!

Is that enough to get it moved to Off Topic?

Finally, 'Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness' comes from the Declaration of Independance, not the Constitution. Also, the Declaration did not provide these rights to the citizenry. It simply stated that it was the founders belief that these rights exist for all men, everywhere. The Declaration did not include 'property' with these others. While John Locke surely thought that and it may have been part of an early draft, it wasn't in the Declaration.

The Constitution does speak of Life, Liberty, and Property, but not like you are arguing. It allowed that people can be deprived of these things as long as they receive 'due process'.

You are quite right. I have been misquoting this whole time. My apologies.

My basic premise is that we have let the Federal government make laws they are not allowed to make under the Constitution. The States have made laws that THEY are not allowed to make under State Constitutions. It goes on down the chain to local governments. There is absolutely no way that a person can know all the laws that apply to them. Therefore, I believe they are unjust and go against the principle that this country was founded on....freedom.

1) Ignorance of teh law is not a defense.

2) This discussion belongs in OT.

SBELL, while I'm not an attorney, I do abuse them frequently at work... I would advise that you keep a close eye on that pony you received in the 500+ PQ thread. I fear that it may soon become deceased, and used for a sound thrashing here. :D

(Note: No horses or ponies were injured in the composition of this post. Attornies, on the other hand....) :)

As long as they don't ban my DVD player display right next to my speedometer, then I'm okay. This just in: drink holders may be banned because they encourage the use of one hand to manipulate a distracting device while driving.

THis just in...

To keep (male) drivers from becoming distracted, attractive women will no longer be allowed within 100 feet of any motorized vehicle roadway. The fine is doubled if the attractive women are wearing bikini tops.

:D I was 15 years old, many years ago camping in Panama City Beach FL... my Dad lets me take his car to get some ice. Driving along the beach road in the normal 15mph traffic... fine suntan blonde white bikini oh heaven walking had my full attention... I was turned all the way around looking at her out the back window when the cars ahead stopped. WHAM. Ooops. :) Back at camp all I could say to Dad was "Sorry about the bumper, but she was FINE!"
