Does anyone want to join us on a 5/5

Next Sunday 21st June we're planning to find a 5/5 cache "Hippos Below" GC1C47M as it'll be our 1000th find and we were wondering if anyone would care to join us to turn this into a bit of a party.

We propose to meet at the car parking co-ordinates at 10.00am so just turn up or contact us here or through our profile.

PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN CANOE TYPE BOAT/LIFEJACKET/PADDLES etc.

Should be fun :D

Would have loved to join you as it is just down the road from me. Unfortunately, next Sunday is a work day for me. Oh well!, perhaps another day.

Bad luck ayepee, we know what it's like juggling work and caching that's why we've got to be so fixed on this particular day.

I think that the special equipment that the flying boots mention may give a clue as to why it is rated 5-5

That would certainly account for the 5 terrain - but the co-ords seem to take you to the cache, so wondered where the 5 difficulty came from?

Are there any TRUE 5/5s?

The Chiltern Hundred bonus is listed as a 5/5. It might be 5 difficulty as you have to walk about 26 miles but it certainly isn't 5 terrain!

Wildcat when it was around.

Puzzle to get there - specialist equipment to get to the cache.

Shame it went as it was probably my favourite cache so far.

Sound like Fun..... we will be doing some 5/5's ourselves that weekend though - we are heading off to The Lakes to tackle The Quest for the ring of Power series .... :D

Hope you have fun though, and advance congrats!

I'd love to, but can't this weekend as we hope to be putting our kitchen and utility room back into some semblance of order before heading off to west Cornwall for the week.

Anyway, I'd probably be a liability because I can't swim and would have to wear water wings :D

Hope it goes well. :D

Well it was certainly a day to remember.

Many thanks to the Flying Boots and Sid and Bob making it all possible.

Mrs Wrighty thought it was called Swimming with Hippos :)
