PQ - run by who placed a cache

Is there a way I can run a query that will give me a list of caches placed by a specific person? I tried to run a regular query, and just sort by that user, but didn't get anything in the area - Sure I could extend out the radius but that will max out to 500.

Thanks!

Odd that you should ask that, because I checked just last night to see if that was a PQ option (which it is not) because I wanted to grab a bunch of Bobcam's caches right in the same neighborhood as one of your caches!

You can, however, filter by cache owner in GSAK.

I don't know if they make your suggestion work and I somehow doubt more than a few cachers will use it. (They seem to want to make sure more than a few hundred caches uses a feature or they'll remove it as it's not being used enough, but that is another point and another topic)

There's is 2 workarounds for this to work.

One is the GSAK owner filter method and the other is the bookmark method.

The GSAK Method requires you to get the owner ID # (Which you can get by highlighting one of that owners caches and right click and selecting edit. The owner ID # should be in that box.) and then creating a filter using that Owner ID #

The Bookmark Method is a more simple way and you can run PQs on bookmarks. The process can be done in a few ways. To start you can look for that cacher caches of just typing that Cache User Name into a the placed by box at http://www.geocaching.com/seek/ and searching and using the bookmark function to bookmark all those caches (You should make this bookmark private as it would be for your personal use only, unless yo want to make it public otherwise) you can even go into the profile and bookmark all their caches (You can even get their Archived ones too) and bookmark. Because of this suggestion I decided to make my own bookmark of all my own caches so you can run a PQ from it if you want to at http://www.geocaching.com/bookmarks/view.a...c4-eb673f7b7bfd . The only downside to the PQ is it is limited to 500 caches so if your trying to go after all of King Boreas's Caches ( http://www.geocaching.com/seek/nearest.asp...&submit4=Go ) in 1 query, that wont work unless you split it into 5 queries and I don't know how many waypoints can go on your GPS but, 2068 Caches is too much for my Garmin Colorado.

I hope this helps ya.
