How many caches can you load into a colorado 300

Recommended Posts

The max for both the oregon and colorado is 200 gpx files or 2000 caches.

Exceed either the max gpx or caches and you will have problems.

Since you are a premium member just load your PQ... thats 1 gpx file with upto 500 caches in that single file.

I have like 250-300 caches loaded into my colorado 300, and it says too many caches and will only show me like 90-100.

Any ideas?

Thanks, Dave

As Savant9 indicated, you probably used the "Send to GPS" option on GC to load into your GPSr. Every time one of these is sent, it is another GPX, rather than doing a PQ.

Another thing that can cause problems when you are reaching near the limit, although probably not an issue here, is child waypoints. If you do use these and also use GSAK, there is a macro there that gives you the option to load child waypoints, your placed caches and/or your found caches as waypoints which then does not impact how many geocaches you can load and is only limited by the memory of the unit.

I think you meant to say the GSAK macro loads child waypoints as POI's.
