+teamhaynes Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 I was checking C&P today.... They have a picture of a Crystal Compass Rose up. No info on presale date, but I am already drooling http://www.compassrosegeocoin.com/crystalcompassrose.php Quote
+sunsetmeadowlark Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 Oooh, that's gorgeous! According to the pre-sales page, the project sale start date is today! Quote
+MustangJoni Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 Ordered mine. I had trouble ordering with Firefox, so I had to use IE instead. Quote
+Tha Saint Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 Just looking at it, and you can do a pre-sale order right now. Quote
+ThePetersTrio Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 Beautiful but $19.98 plus s/h? Wow. Obviously this would not be a great coin to send traveling. It sure would look nice in my collection. Tempting!! Quote

+Jackalgirl Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 Man. Expensive, but they look absolutely gorgeous! Can't wait to see what this things like are in person... Quote
+sunsetmeadowlark Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 (edited) LOL! Talk about timing. When I looked at the page earlier the date was listed but the sale hadn't started yet. Just placed my order. It sure hurt hitting Pay Now on those but I just had to get a set since I missed out on the Anniversary Compass Rose coins. Edited June 7, 2009 by sunsetmeadowlark Quote
+wkmccall Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 (edited) Just purchased this one today. Price isn't too bad - about $20.00. I've seen them go for a lot more.. The one I purchased is the "Earth Stone" version. I just tried to go back and maybe order another version, but it looks like very one is hitting the site at one time - can't get to the page right now.. ) Here is the bummer.. Special Note:Due to the amount of hand work that goes into making these coins, it can take anywhere from 6 to 9 weeks to make these coins after the presale ends, plus the amount of time it takes for your postal system to ship them to you. So I'm looking at the end of summer before I can get it in my hands.. That's fine though... This will be my first Compass rose coin anyway! Edited June 6, 2009 by wkmccall Quote
+fairyhoney Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 AWESOME - Yes - pricey - Yes BUT it IS handmade and all Quote
+kmmlynch Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 Is this the 2009 compass rose? Someone mentioned the regular compass rose but I'm thinking they were referring to the anniversary edition or did I miss the 2009 edition? Quote

My bad, I mentioned missing the regular but I meant the Anniversary. I've edited my post. Quote
+SecretChief Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 Hi, I love these Crystal Compass Rose. They are amazing. That makes 3 Compass Rose editions in 2009, I'm more than satisfied. Quote

Someone mentioned the regular compass rose but I'm thinking they were referring to the anniversary edition or did I miss the 2009 edition? I don't think so -- according to this page, it's still listed as "Coming in 2009"...I don't think you missed anything. Whew! : ) Quote
+Jackalgirl Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 I recently got my "shipped" notice, after several delays due to problems with the glass. I cannot wait to see these coins! Quote
+MustangJoni Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 I got my shipping notice last night! I can't wait to see these beauties! Quote
+Boogus Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 We received ours in the mail today. They are thicker than I thought they would be (about 1/4 inch) which is a good thing. They are beautifully crafted with no flaws and feel very nice in hand. Definitely an exquisite addition to the compass rose collection! Quote
JohnMac56 Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 Got mine today and they came out GREAT!!! Can't wait until tomorrow when I can shoot them outdoors in natural light... Quote
+Howlingmoon Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 I received my Earth Stone today! Quote
+MustangJoni Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 I got mine today. I really like them. Especially the green one. It looks like the old timey coke bottles. Great job! Quote
+JoenGPS Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 Got'm...very unique!! I like all three, all have a different look in natural light. Very nice packaging too. Quote
