+925cacher
I have a Garmin 400 T and can not figure out how to manually type in Longitude and lattitue Caches! Some caches require multiple waypoints and I am stuck after the first one! HELP!!! Quote Link to comment
+Polar B's
If you press and hold the button in the middle of the wheel it should mark a waypoint and then you should be able to edit the coordinates by highlighting and selecting them Quote Link to comment
+tozainamboku
Unlike other Garmin units, the Oregon and Colorado don't allow you to change the coordinates of a geocache in the field. This makes it a bit of a pain to do multis if you previously did them by editing the coordinates as you found each stage. However these units do provide several ways to create new waypoints as you go from stage to stage of a multi. I'm guessing Polar B's instructions are for marking a waypoint on a Colorado. On the Oregon you can press mark waypoint on the main menu to create a new waypoint and then edit this waypoint to have the new coordinates. There is also an option to create a waypoint from the geocache page. Once you have created this waypoint you can edit it like any other as you find each stage. Finally you can select WhereTo?->Coordinates and enter the coordinates you want to go to. When you find the final of the multi, you need to select the original geocache again in order to log your attempt (field notes). Quote Link to comment
