If you click on the "hide and seek a cache" link there are guidelines that you need to follow for cache placing. When you hide a cache, you need to be able to maintain it so it needs to be close to where you live or an area you visit regularly. If you work every season at the resort then you might get a cache approved there. If you are just going for a ski trip then the cache wouldn't be approved under the "vacation rule".
