Did you meet your significant other because of Geocaching?

I've met a lot of couples who geocached together, but I can only recall encountering one couple I know met through geocaching.

 

She had been divorced for awhile, before she started geocaching.  He was married when I originally met him, but his wife and son didn't cache and he always seemed suspiciously friendly to younger women at events. I don't know if he left his first wife for his geo-bride or they had already split by that point.

 

At least the new couple are about the same age, rather than him hooking up with someone half his age like he seemed to be angling for.

My wife loves me despite my geocaching.  She is not at all interested in geocaching but had supported my goals in this game in many ways.  For example:

 

* Whenever we go to a new country / state or are even near a new place, she'll go along with me to find a geocache so that I can claim that location on my profile.  I'm not into geocaching souvenirs, except I only really care about map-based souvenirs.

* Last year she traveled with me down to Georgia to pick up three Jasmer months and three new states.  In a three day / two night trip, we found Beaver Cache, Marooned, and Lake Lanier, hiked up Stone Mountain, and picked up a cache in Alabama and South Carolina (also Georgia obviously).  We decided against the Stone Mountain multi since it was a repeat month, even though I believe it's the oldest multi out there.  

* Every year that I host a GIFF event, which is a big event in a rented movie theater, she mans the door and greets everyone and shows them where to sign the log, takes donations to cover the rental, etc., so that I can be free to make sure the event is running smoothly and people are enjoying themselves.

 

She even had fun with me making a video about our trip to Georgia!  I think she enjoyed the boat ride to Marooned with Captain John the most on the trip.
