wenzelbub
I need to design icons for my new "Traveling Ladybird Stamp"-microcoins. So why not make a cointest 1. Each coin gets its own icon = you have to design 7 icons! 2. The icons has to be in GIF format (non-animated) in the following pixel sizes: 16x16 and 32x32 3. Cointest will run till 14th of June 4. To take part of cointest, you have to design all 7 icons Winner will be selected by me and gets a complete set of these coins for free. Good luck Stefan PS: more information about these coins can be found here. Edited May 30, 2009 by wenzelbub Quote Link to comment

gardengorilla
I can't design icons but my idea would be to have a small outline of the continent with a lady bug inside it. Quote Link to comment

snowball 58
Why not use the image of each coin? http://i581.photobucket.com/albums/ss258/snowball58_album/untitled. Edited May 30, 2009 by snowball 58 Quote Link to comment
J10fly
Why not use the image of each coin? I second that, I think those images would be perfect for icons. Quote Link to comment
wenzelbub
If I take my vector-file and export it to a 32- and 16-pixel GIF, it will look like this: The 32 looks ok, but the 16 ... Quote Link to comment

On The Iconsjho135 Great minds think alike LOL...the second I saw the images I thought they would be awesome to see as icons! The continent thing is a cool idea but I don't think it would work out too look real well because of the small dimensions. Quote Link to comment
opalsns
Well, I took little cutouts from the coin pics and put them in LadyBird Frames. Next , I will try to resize them individually. I can't find how to do that with the software I have. Edited May 31, 2009 by opalsns Quote Link to comment

fuzziebear3
I think JHO's are a good idea, but really to tiny to see. And I like the idea of the countries, but apparently also not good when small. So I think we need something simpler. How about a simple ladybird, with a different solid background color for each of the different ones. Quote Link to comment
anne.and.eli
Here's two for Africa. I don't have time tonight to do the rest, but I'll play around with these some more tomorrow. Quote Link to comment
anne.and.eli
Oh yah, I meant to say, depending on the vector program you are using, there should be a way to scale the stroke size. I think the reason your 32x32 and 16x16 icons you get when you export are so dark is that the strokes are not getting scaled down. In Illustrator, it's in the preferences section. Not sure what vector program you're using though. Quote Link to comment
