PQ e-mail delay to GMail (5/29)

[Edited to add: Several comments below indicate this may be a general issue, not just with GMail.]

(I am trying to make this specific so it doesn't turn into a "why didn't my PQ run" topic).

There was a delay today in PQs going to GMail.

I had 4 PQs run at 0115, 0325, 0325 and 0326. They arrived at GMail at 0115, 0340, 0351, 0421.

Not a huge problem, but it seems to be getting worse.

Here are the details of the last one, the most delayed:

Does anyone know if in the Alternate email address field if multiple email addresses are supported. By either using a comma, or semi-colon? I would like to have the queries go to my gmail, but a secondary non-gmail account as well to help avoid issues possibly caused by gmail.

Though, I don't think this issue is gmail, as I created a query and sent it to my personal domain email and it still hasn't arrived either. Each query ran quickly on the geocaching server, but from the time it was created til now, no email.

Multiple e-mail addresses used to work but this "feature" was not known to the lackeys. The most recent changes caused it not to work (so no address would get the e-mail.)

[Note: The above is what a Groundspeak lackey posted, but post #14 below indicates this might not be true. I have not tested it.]

My PQ email is going to gmail.

1 PQ ran at 8:47am pst and have not received it yet, so I ran another one just now.

The second one ran and was received in email instantly. Still waiting on the first one that ran at 8:47am.

At least I got one of them to keep me busy

Well... Not really happy with them. I have not rec'd anything today. Nor a response from them in email addressing the issue over hours have passed. Sent to 2 different email servers. nothing. Wouldn't a note on their page stating there are issues be nice to let us know they know there are problems?

No on exchange, one server is a custom windows the other was gmail.

Geocaching.com wrote me back and they are having problems with their mail server and they are working on it as we speak. No other info..

Also, they confirmed you can do more than one email address on the Alt line, I will have to test that in the future once things are back to normal.

I have run 3 PQs today and haven't gotten any of them and mine is being sent to a yahoo address. Hope they get this straightened out soon.

Update: I did just get the one from a couple hours ago. The one from early this morning is still missing and so is one I did 15 minutes ago.

vodav: I meant to ask if Groundspeak is running Exchange, wouldn't surprise me ...

Just ran another query, maybe I have more luck with that one ... well, 2 target gmail, 3rd goes to my work email (private system) and the 4th to my ISP. Well, I wanted to have done my preparations by now!

It's not just GMail, and it's not just PQs.

I have 2 overlapping cache publishing notifications, and a cache was published that hit both of them. I received one at 4:01PM Eastern, and the second at 4:59PM Eastern. Both go to the same address, which is not GMail.

Checking the headers, it looks like it's getting stuck in the handoff between hal.Groundspeak.com and signal.Groundspeak.com or signal.Groundspeak.com to signal4.Groundspeak.com
