So saw and add on C/L for this unit and can pick it up for 20-30 is it worth it for a beginner as myself or better off saving my money?

Thanks in advance for you input.

In my opinion, It really depends on how much caching you're going to do and how 'serious' you're going to get about the activity. I found my first 1000 caches with my little yellow extrex and loved every minute of it.

at the very least it'd would be worth picking it up for the price alone (assuming it works, etc...) - and if you don't want it, let me know where you found that price, I'll pick it up! :P

If you can get it for $20 or $30 it's well worth it. Great beginner unit. . . and will easily bring that in a year if and when you decide to upgrade to a better one.

I still use my eTrex Legend as a backup (or wife uses it along side me and my Oregon). It has the same receiver as the plain yellow eTrex and can still lead me to a cache.

I´m using my little yellow since one and a half year. I don´t have any problems about it.

If you can get it for $20 or $30 take it!

It depends not on a cheap or expensive GPSr to find Geocaches, it depends on your imagination and inspiration.

good hunting and we´ll meet in the woods
