+SYOTT
I believe I made a boo boo when updating my maps in my colorado 300... I accidently deleted the base map that came with the unit, which is not a huge deal, however, I'd still like to have access to it. Is there anywhere that this can be recovered? Quote Link to comment
+Red90
Are you sure it is deleted? If you have detailed maps, they cover the basemap when zoomed in. Zoom way out and see if there is still a map visible. If you did delete it, you will need to contact Garmin to get a new copy. Quote Link to comment

+Triple Crown
You can connect to your computer and browse to \Garmin to see if there is a file called gmapbmap.img ? Not there I did this on my Oregon, and when I called tech support they re-installed it for me by sending the file and installing it for me by taking over my computer remotely. Pretty slick. I can e-mail you the files if you want, maps should be the same. Quote Link to comment

Garmin emailed it to me, I've already forwarded to another Oregon user in the UK. 2 files: gmaptz.img is 529 KB and gmapbmap.img is 19.9 MB Quote Link to comment
+Red90
The basemap should be 90 MB or so. Quote Link to comment
+Triple Crown
The basemap should be 90 MB or so. Maybe the basemap on the Colorado is different then. The Oregon 300's is less than 20 MB. Quote Link to comment
+Gushoneybun
Mine is over 90mb, on a Colorado. A bit late for the OP but well worth backing up your GPS as it is very easy to delete files. Quote Link to comment
+splashy
The Oregon's = 104 Mb Syott read your pm Quote Link to comment
