+C@H
Is it OK to log a "drop coin at" then a "picked coin up at" at the same time ? so the coin is not left at the cache, just a quick visit. Quote Link to comment
ATMouse
It is called "dipping". Some folk use a travel bug or a geocoin to track their miles and/or caches. By "putting in" and "taking out" a traveler in a cache, it will become the mileage calculator (of a sort) for their caching adventures. It is not uncommon. Quote Link to comment
+BlueDeuce
If the traveler visited the cache location it should get credit for being there, even if it didn't stay behind. Quote Link to comment
+larry739
Yeah, you can do it, but just keep in mind every time you dip a coin it generates an email to the coin owner. After 2000 of those emails it gets old. Quote Link to comment
+Phil Andrews
My dog has a tag that I activated. (tb21amd)I don't mind the emails and a buddy of mine will grab her from me when he goes geocaching. We only log her in when she goes. Since I have yet to find a geocache big enough to house her, I have no choice but to dip. Quote Link to comment
