+The Blorenges
From two caches which are on our Watchlist... Congratulations to stonefielders who proved that the "Rakers of the Lost Ark" cache is still there. It was last found a year ago and there have been several DNFs over the year but stonefielders scored their 3000th cache with a Find on this one. But, sadly, "The Beast of Crimson Hill" has been tracked to earth for the very last time. I'm very sorry to see this one vanquished as I have fond memories of my rubber waders and the deep gloopy mud. Only a couple of months ago another great 5* cache, "Wildcat", was also archived. It's sad to see such caches bite the dust. Have we similar, newer 5*/5* to take their places? MrsB Quote Link to comment

+Bill D (wwh)
I'm sorry to see that Wildcat has gone. I started it ages ago but ran out of time to complete it. Quote Link to comment
+wheelybarrow
Sorry to hear that The Beast Of Crimson Hill has gone - that was our first 5/5 and was very memorable. Quote Link to comment
+Stuey
I'll never forget the feeling of silt and broken stalactites embedded in my bare feet in wellies, three foot deep into the sludge! Ahhhh, happy days! LOL Quote Link to comment
+The Blorenges
A little bump for this topic to say Well Done to kidicarus for being first to paddle out to The Ore Stone and find the new 5*/5* cache on the island. Always good to see a new and challenging cache appear to be added to our Watchlist. MrsB Quote Link to comment

MrsB If there are, let's hope this time they're actually 5/5's - and not mislabelled 3/5's or 5/3's... Edited to add extra worms to can and remove well flogged dead horse..... +The Blorenges
Unfortunately it seems we've lost a 5/5 as well: "Paper Cave" has been archived. I recall somebody muttering they were planning some scrambling/climbing caches of increasing difficult... hmmmm... I think we could do with them soon, to make up for these "disappearing" caches. +Delta68
We were FTF on this 5/5 a few weeks ago Ooops! This was the fourth 5/5 we've done (one has since been downgraded) and it's the most 5/5ish so far It was great fun. Can't post any photos though as it's a puzzle and photos would reveal its location... Mark Quote Link to comment

MrsB We have some near us - Cachu-U-Nutters Beastley Too is an abseiling multi that requires about 7 caches, almost all of which require climbing/abseiling. They get increasingly more difficult We were 2TF, about a year after FTF! We are also planning our own climbing caches - it all adds an extra dimension to the obsession! Not for everyone, but you can't please all of the cachers all of the time! Dave Quote Link to comment

+Simply Paul
Looking at The Ore Stone -or not- perhaps some of these 5/5's would get more visitors if they weren't PM only... Quote Link to comment

Well, you never know, that "Gropers" lot round Northampton that keep clearing up the caches might find it! Quote Link to comment
