Colorado maps

Hi Everyone.

I have a new Colorado 300. I tried to download the maps program off the Garmin site--what a nightmare! So, I went to REI and bought a Garmin map program. It is a cd. I am assuming that I install it on my computer, load it onto an sd disk and put it in the Colorado?? Help!

Yes load it on your pC - then go into mapsource and select the map segments you want - then either transfer to the 300 directly or to an sd card you then put into the unit.

Just a quick note. If you want maps from different sources (say Ibycus's free topo maps in Canada, and one of streets from garmin. You have to send them from Mapsource at the same time, or one overwrites the other.

I have loaded my street maps on to an SD card so when I load my Topo's for the day on to my CO 300 it won't wipe out or over write my street maps
