+Tank and Spaz
Been reading on this new family member to the geocaching community. Sounds fun, interesting, and well, it gets me out of my house, so maybe I will get some sun. My "friend" asked if this was going to be come a cache category, similar to the multi cache, but you needed to submit photos and answer questions from a trail sponsor. IE, you take a photo at the start, at coordinate 1 answer a question, coordinate 2 answer a question or take a photo, then at the end take a photo showing completion. No real rules, but just a suggestion. I like the Rails To Trails icon, that would something nice to have showing in the stats. Comments or suggestions? Quote Link to comment

Well I do not know about that but I enjoy biking rail to trails, My wife and I even do overnighters but alot of the time caching isn't involved, but if there are caches along the trail I will pick some up. +J-Way
I don't think there will ever be a "Rails to Trails" cache type. But there are many caches of existing types hidden on such trails all over the world. You could hide a Mystery, Multi, or Letterbox-Hybrid cache in the manner you described. Quote Link to comment
Keystone
I doubt very much that the partnership with the Rails to Trails program will lead to a new cache type. An attribute to help spot caches along rail trails? Maybe. There is a Rails to Trails Waymarking Category where the locations of trailheads/access points can be recorded. Quote Link to comment
