deleting found geocaches from the basemap

hey folks, vista hcx user here with a question. how do i delete the found geocaches from the basemap on my gpsr? i went into the menu section with recent finds and deleted them all, but they still show up on the map. i know i can move the pointer to each one and delete them like that, but is there a way to delete all found geocaches from the map at one time? that could take a lot of time if i just went on a trip and did some geocaching. thanks.

You probably need to delete them from the Geocache or Waypoint lists.

 

You also can delete by symbol. So you could delete all the Waypoints with the Open Treasure Chest icon to delete the found caches.

thanks. maybe i didn't explain it well in my original post, but i did delete the found geocaches from the list, it's just that they still show up on the map.

Ok, but you indicated that you deleted them from the "Recent Finds" list. That list is a separate (and temporary) list which is different from the Waypoint list.
