CacheMonkeez
Last time I checked, TA had over 30K finds. And TA's profile page is rather ominous. http://www.geocaching.com/profile/Default....01-e081ee020b7e And how do you delete all those finds? +hydnsek
The TeamAlamo account you reference was only created March 10. Obviously not the right one. The cacher you're looking for is now called Alamogul and indeed has over 32,000 finds. Quote Link to comment
+Team Perks
Who wouldn't jump at the chance to steal the "TeamAlamo" name once he changed his? (Rhetorical question.) It's a dummy placeholder account so that wouldn't happen. Edited April 24, 2009 by Team Perks Quote Link to comment
Keystone
I did the same thing when I changed the name for my reviewer / moderator account. There was too much risk of confusion or mischief when the account name is prominent. Quote Link to comment

Mr.Yuck
Just changed names Alamogul Ah...must have had cooperation from HQ to change names? Well yeah, but anyone can do it. All you have to do is ask. I'm sure you remember when you could just do it with a mouse click from your profile, seeing as you've been around since 2002. So obviously they had a standard username change, then went back and created a brand new account for the temporarily non-existent username TeamAlamo. Quote Link to comment

Heh, not only do I remember, I did change my name after a year or so. But I thought that feature went away. I guess it's available by special request now. Quote Link to comment

And for about a year or so (just a rough guess) where you weren't allowed to do it at all. Many a person had to re-log all their finds with their new username. Quote Link to comment
+gof1
It drove poor TWU nuts the week I did it. I had found a bunch of his caches and flooded his email with back dated logs. Quote Link to comment
+gof1
Perhaps someone is interested in purchasing the TeamAlamo name. Aren't we on like our third Briansnat? Quote Link to comment

+Snoogans
Just changed names Alamogul Great Harry, you blew Lee's cover. I heard he had to go into the geocaching witness protection program. Someone sent him a package full of poprocks and soda when he hit 32K and then tried to hire Tonya Harding to kneecap him in hopes of slowing him down. Quote Link to comment

+Wacka
Just changed names Alamogul Reminds me to change his name on my phone. He lives about 10 miles away. If you cache with him, be in shape. He doesn't stop. Edited April 28, 2009 by Wacka Quote Link to comment
