Ackidge
I am going to GeoWoodstock & have about a 90 minute layover in Detroit. I am hoping to be able to get a cache near the airport. Can anybody tell me from personal experience A: if there is a quick & easy cache near the airport & B: How is it generally to get through security here? Is this a realistic endevour for a 90 minute layover??? Thanks for any insight!! Quote Link to comment
Neos2
I'll be curious to see what the locals say... I don't know that airport, but I'd say that for pretty much any airport in the US these days, I wouldn't even consider going out after a geocache unless I had at least a 3 hour layover. Even if the cache was a block from the airport. Most airports suggest you arrive an hour early to make sure you get through security in time to make your flight. Quote Link to comment
madcatimages
I know there are a few in the area, but with 90min you might want a car. Quote Link to comment

Ackidge
What is the security like at that airport? Is it notoriously slow or is it always a breeze to get through. If it is like Boston, no way would I try to go out. If it is like Providence RI, I think it could be do-able. Anybody fly through here & know what I might encounter? Quote Link to comment
