Placed a geocoin in the wrong cache

Hi All

 

When I was logging some caches I placed a geocoin I had into a wrong cache, I know which cache it should have gone into, I have tried Grabbing it but with out the number I can't, does anyone have any sugguestions

Have you tried going to the coins page try to retrieve it from the cache, then in the box where you enter the number press the down arrow. I use IE and it remembers past things entered, if numbers appear just work your way down the list.

Hi,

 

Email the coin owner explaining the situation and request the coin code (should be ok as they can see you did have it earlier) and then grab the coin, delete the incorrect log and then drop it into the correct cache.

In the meantime, it might be worth posting a note on the coin's page - and also on the cache you incorrectly dropped it into - to let people know it actually isn't there.
