+Cash-in
Hi, I've got a Garmin Oregon 300 which is great for Geocaching but I also want to be able to download routes for using on a mountain bike. I've found a couple of websites which offer downloadable routes with GPX files but I'm unsure how to download these to my GPS, if I try and open them then I get a page full of jargon! Do I need any additional software on my PC or am I just being thick? Any help would be gratefully received and also any pointers towards decent websites for finding bike routes. Thanks, Cash-in. Yearofthegoat
Open them using MapSource and use that to send the track to your GPS. Edited April 17, 2009 by Yearofthegoat Quote Link to comment
+Stuey
The Garmin Oregon understands GPX files, so you just need to copy them to memory (or card) on the GPS unit itself. No need for any additional software. Quote Link to comment
topografix
EasyGPS is freeware that will send GPX files to any Garmin, Magellan, Lowrance, or Eagle GPS receiver. http://www.easygps.com/download.asp Quote Link to comment
