+sodajerk
Pocket Queries allow you to select up to 500 caches according to criteria you select. They are e-mailed to you. You can run up to 5 a day thus allowing for 2500 caches. That will keep you busy finding them. You can then load the queries into various software (I use GSAK) to convert the information into something your PDA or other device can understand. This is where paperless comes from. You don't print the information, you read it on your PDA or Pocket PC, or ipod, or blackberry, or smart phone or a compatable GPS receiver. Search for Cachemate, GSAK, Plucker, Spinner, Sunrise, Cacheberry etc. Look at the FAQ at the top of the forums as well as the links from the Geocaching.com home page. Lots and lots of threads are here. It works best if you are a premium member. Gook luck Quote Link to comment
+connieboy69
I have a garmin geko 201 and an ipod nano, can i go paperless with any of these gadgets?? Thanks Con Quote Link to comment
+sodajerk
I don't think the geko 201 is a compatible GPS for paperless. It is a good unit for finding caches. The paperless idea is to have information with you while out searching around without printing the web pages on paper. All I know about i pods is what I read in some threads on the forum. I don't know what model does what, but I did read about some cachers putting the cache information on their i pods. Happy caching. Quote Link to comment
+Brassine Family
If you want info on how to go paperless check Head Hard Hat's vids, this is how I went paperless. Also, I have a lower end palm than what he uses and it works great!!! http://headhardhat-geocache.blogspot.com/2...utorial-to.html Quote Link to comment

Hi think i have worked a way of going paperless cant use my geko so what i do is copy and paste the the info to my ipod (using it like a hard drive and copy it to the notes folder)so then you start the ipod nano up go to extras and then notes and then open what folder you want and wey hey paperless caching. +geofrandy
In order to go paperless, (with an Oregon 300) is there additional software that needs to be installed on the computer or do you download directly to gps from geocaching.com? Are there any tutorials anywhere on this process? Quote Link to comment

Are there any tutorials anywhere on this process? No need whatsoever to do anything but DL'ing the gpx files, either one by one or in bulk by a pocket query. You'll get the "full" page of each cache together with the last 5 comments. No pics though, not even spoilers Quote Link to comment
