avroair Posted April 5, 2009 Posted April 5, 2009 After much deliberation (or was that just libation) I have decided I don't like you lot anymore. Yep, you guys are meanies and I am moving far far away so I can go torment another group of cachers. At the end of April I am picking up my things (ok it's only one thing) and moving to Seattle. Quote
macatac1961 Posted April 5, 2009 Posted April 5, 2009 Good luck with the move. I hope it goes smooth for you guys. Thanks for all of your showmanship over the last 5 years. You've brought a lot of cachers together. Thanks amigo, be well. Quote
Old Navy Posted April 5, 2009 Posted April 5, 2009 Mark has done more for geocaching in Northern New Jersey then any other cacher since the begining of geocaching in this area. Avroair events were always the best, and we looked forward to the next creative idea he had up his sleeve. The Washington State caching folks are very lucky to have him. Good Luck my friend, and best wishes on the West coast. Old Navy Quote
brian b Posted April 5, 2009 Posted April 5, 2009 Leaving us? Who's gonna host the next Pirate event? Be well, Mark. When I head out to Seattle to capture the ape, maybe I'll look for your events/caches. Quote
Harry Dolphin Posted April 5, 2009 Posted April 5, 2009 Ha! You think I'm annoying? Wait until you run into my kid brother in Seattle! Good luck, Mark. Have fun. Quote
geobernd Posted April 5, 2009 Posted April 5, 2009 Good luck with the move - you'll be missed. I fondly remember all the Pirate events that I was able to make. Hmm - you are the third person I know to move to Seattle from here in the last 4 month - maybe we should all go..... (Makes it easier for Mark's coming Pirates of Mount Olympus event) Quote
buttaskotch Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 Mark, sounds so sudden! You and your beautiful family will be sorely missed. You have had some of the greatest events I have ever attended. Ahem, I think a going away event should be arranged! Quote
ThirstyMick Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 Good luck with the move. We'll miss you and your awesome events. Quote
Packanack Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 Excuse me, I go to Florida for 5 days, you move and there is still a little unfinished business that I have with you. FIVE STAR NEW YORK Good luck . Bring your bumpershoot. Quote
briansnat Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 I guess the Seattle geocachers can look forward to a Pirates of Lake Sammamish event. You guys will be missed! Quote
accbd Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 Good luck to you and your family - you will be missed by nnjc Quote
Team MM Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 All good things must come to an end. That good thing is knowing you, Rose and Jillian. Thanks for all your hard work to advance geocaching in NJ Mark. Best of luck in Seattle. Meg & Mike Quote
Quoddy Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 I actually went back to the original post to make sure that it wasn't April 1st, and unfortunately it wasn't. The caches I did with you and Rose as well as the wonderful events, from the very first... each better than the last, will remain in my memory (at least until senility takes over). Thanks for the wonderful times you've given all of us. Quote
avroair Posted April 7, 2009 Author Posted April 7, 2009 Bah! Lucky us. ( ) I am SO leaving post its on your monitor over and over and over and over again! Do I get a smillie for that? Quote
avroair Posted April 7, 2009 Author Posted April 7, 2009 Excuse me, I go to Florida for 5 days, you move and there is still a little unfinished business that I have with you. FIVE STAR NEW YORK Good luck . Bring your bumpershoot. All my caches are being archived or adopted and 5 Star is being taken care of by EastVillageFamily. It's in good hands, I would never let a cache as unique as that disappear. Quote
hallycat Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 I am going to miss you and Rose and that adorable rugrat!! Not to mention all the events. Thanks for all the great events and caches!! Best of luck to you out west. Hmmmm, I smell a farewell roast on 4/18 Quote
Perfect Tommy Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 A dark day for geocaching in the area. Thanks for the great caches and events and the fun. New York's loss is the Pacific NorthWest's gain. Good luck in Seattle - those lucky b@stards just got a cachemaster. Quote
weathernowcast Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 We will miss you Mark. Be well and enjoy! Quote
HaLiJuSaPa Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 (edited) Well, we never formally "met" I think (though I know I've seen your nametag at an event or two and I know we've responded to one another's forum entries at one point or two or three or another.....), and I had this bad coincidence of one or the other of my kids getting sick right before Pirates events [], but we certainly know of you and you will be missed in this great big caching-land. Enjoy life at the Lily Pad and the best of luck and everything to you and your family! Edited April 7, 2009 by HaLiJuSaPa Quote
lakelady Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 You were the first geocacher I got to know when I was a newbie. Loved caching with you and loved your events. You, Rose and Jillian will be sorely missed. Quote
Team Rampant Lion Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 The TRL crew wishes you all the best. We still don't know if we may be following you west but should know soon. You are heading to a great area! We'll be in touch. Quote
marlin01 Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 Good luck on your move, I hope to see you and the family at future events, but for now happy trails! Quote
TwoCat Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 Best of luck you three.....you will be missed! Quote
weathernowcast Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 For those who wish to say good bye to Avroair in person, NNJC will be hosting an event on April 18th in Mahlon Dickerson: NNJC - Avroair's farewell & Campfire Event Quote
vanm Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 But, will the Evil Mastermind follow you? Actually, I'm a bit concerned about the "one" thing you are bringing with you... Quote
bella_candy Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 Enjoy your new location... think of all those new cachers to torment! It's been a pleasure caching with you. Quote
