shivia
Hi all. I want to buy Oregon 400T to replace my valuable 60csx. But i wonder if the Oregon family will be on the market for long period, 5-7 years or more? Is there a newer model will superseeded oregons in the close future, i.e 6-8 months, like oregon did against colorado? Thanks all. Quote Link to comment
+Tequila
No one can say for certain but since they are about to announce the OR 500 & 550, AND the fact they seem very focused on adding functionality to the OR with recent firmware updates, my guess is the OR is the future platform of choice. +Red90
It should be awhile as they are coming out with newer Oregon models. But more like 2 to 3 years. No electronics go 5 to 6 years. There will be something better within 2 years guaranteed. Quote Link to comment
shivia
As per your advise, if i take OR now, i'm sure to be not obsolete for few more years ahead. Quote Link to comment
+StarBrand
Keep in mind that most of the 60CSx owners I have talked to do not look at the Oregon series as an "upgrade" to the 60CSx - simply another model with a different set of features. Quote Link to comment
