My dad says he watered them a bit yesterday evening - and the first ones were there to greet us this morning! For those who do not know these flowers are called Aprils Fool. +Carbon Hunter Posted April 2, 2009 Share Posted April 2, 2009 Hemanthus - there are some really pretty ones in the KZN Midlands too - I remember a particlularly rare speciment that was an off-white colour that grew in a small patch a few km down from the Karkloof faals on the top of a precipitous drop! It looks suspiciously like one of the red tulips in flower in our garden which has had its head broken off and has been stuck back into the ground... but after a quick google around I see that these are genuine south African flowers.
