+Team McCarthy
Hi there I've got a Vista Cx and I'm looking to upgrade to a Oregon or Colorado. I guessing I'll get much better accuracy, yes? I'd be able to load up my Topo maps that I've already bought, correct? The big question.... Is the Oregon worth the extra money?? Any help would be appreciated Thanks Quote Link to comment

Any help would be appreciated Thanks I had the Colorado and called Garmin 400t when the Oregon 400t came out. They told me there was basically no difference and to keep my Coloado 400t until it wore out. Straight from the horse's mouth... Quote Link to comment
+Tequila
That topic has been covered ad nausea in this forum. Take a few minutes to go back through the threads and you will find more than enough detailed information to answer your question. They are NOT 'basically" the same. Quote Link to comment

+Redwoods Mtn Biker
I've used both and am a big fan of the Oregon. The interface is superior and, for whatever reason, Garmin has done a much better job of pushing out firmware upgrades for the Oregon than for the Colorado. Quote Link to comment
+pklong911
I messed with a Colorado in the store and was annoyed by the rock n roller thing. I have now had the Oregon 300 for about a month and have been pleased with it. I love the touchscreen and it is much easier for my 8 year old to use over the eTrex. I have also been pleased with the rollouts and features put out with each new firmware. My vote, Oregon. Quote Link to comment
+Team McCarthy
Well, I'd like to thank everyone for the input and links After reading through the forms quite a bit It seems the real choice in Garmin, is between the Oregon and the GPSMap 60csx And that Oregon suuuure is pretty Edited March 31, 2009 by Team McCarthy Quote Link to comment
+Tequila
The 60CSx is a workhorse but does not offer paperless geocaching. The Oregon is rapidly building itself towards similar stability. And it does an awesome job on paperless caching. It would also appear that the OR is Garmin's base for the future. Quote Link to comment
