Logging an inactive geocoin

I saw this coin in one of the diplays at the GPS Adevnture Maze exhibit in Seattle yesterday:

I was going to log this as "Discovered" but when I pull it up it just says that it hasn't been activated yet.

 

I don't see any way to log it yet I see from the logs that others have logged it at some of the other maze events. So...how did they do that?

Okay, I'll take the bait

All that I see when I click the link provided is a "not yet activated" sereen

Where are you seeing discovery logs ?

 

I see a coin page stating This trackable item hasn't been activated. Activate it now.

 

along with some Discovery logs.

Well isn't that interesting. Either a broke or unactivated by someone with the proper access.

 

Do you know the owner?

 

In the cointest A nice spot for a bit of butty munching, there was a coin that was logged before it was activated. They were able to log it with a cell phone.

I should add That the coin I am refering to, The cacher's profile page locked up after they logged the coin
