We used to be avid geocachers...and then my husband thought we had misplaced our GPS in a move. So for the last 2-3 years, we haven't been caching. But I found my GPS! I also found a Waypoint 15 geocoin in our backpack. I've had it forever...in fact, its the only geocoin I've ever owned. I put it in a cache a couple of days ago, but when I read that it was so collectable, I went back in after it. (I know, I know....didn't they used to call people who did these things "Indian givers?" ) I replaced it with a plastic ring and a wooden chinese bracelet. :o

 

I don't think I want to start collecting geocoins. Should I sell it on Ebay or what??

WOW! Congratulations!! That is such a wonderful find!! ;) You may want to keep it a bit longer in case you do decide to collect geocoins. Yes that one is highly sought after and pretty rare it seems. I am not sure how people would react with it being sold on ebay, but it would probably sell for a lot. We'd love to have it in our collection too...who wouldn't... but you should do with it whatever makes you happiest. Even if it is leaving it in a cache for some other lucky person to find. Congrats on finding your GPS again too!! ;)

I still have some Caching Around America Geocoins in Gold and Copper that I am willing to trade. I had 50 of each minted, while the store only sold Nickel.

In the continuing effort to reduce the number of geocoins I have collected, some more coins from my keepers list have been moved over to my traders list. They are for sale or trade. I am looking to reduce the numbers so if you are seeking a trade, I am looking more for the LE's or XLE's. I am willing to trade multiple coins on my list for these types of coins. If I trade three, four, or five coins for one, I am still accomplishing my goal ;) Make me on offer on multiple coins.

I don't have Idaho but then again we haven't cached there yet either! In an effort to (kind of) keep the coin collecting from getting out of hand I am (trying!) to limit myself to a coin from each State or Country that we have cached in. (plus a few others that just strike my fancy!) That being said....list is UPDATED!! I now only need IOWA!!!

The Chinese Year of the Pig event was held yesterday and a great event it was. I have an event coin for trade. It is 1 3/4 inches in diameter and is trackable with the pc prefix. I believe that 100 were minted.
