Neath Worthies
I know what CITO stands for but how is it pronounced? Is it "KITO" or "KITTO" or "SITO" or SITTO"? Or something else? Edited March 17, 2009 by Neath Worthies Quote Link to comment
+Chrysalides
I know what CITO stands for but how is it pronounced? Is it "KITO" or "SITO"? I must admit I've never wondered about it. I pronounce it "sito", since the first 3 letters is the same as "city". How did the topic come up? Quote Link to comment
Neath Worthies
No real reason, I've just seen mention of it and it set me wondering. I sort of assumed it was with a soft "C" like in Cider. Quote Link to comment
+wesleykey
Look in the CITO forum. A popular topic is over two years old. Quote Link to comment

Neath Worthies
Thanks for your contributions. I've also asked for a local perspective in the UK forum and there are so many variations I'm still none the wiser but I am reassured that I'm not alone in wondering. Of course as an English speaker (as opposed to American) it's almost academic as we don't refer to "Trash", we call such detritus "Litter" or "Rubbish" (as in litter bins or piles of rubbish). +FunLovingGeocacher
I pronounce it... Cash In Trash Out - There used to be a tv show called catchphrase with Roy Walker, who would often say - Say what you see" Quote Link to comment
