northants club?

Recommended Posts

If you look at the pinned topics at the top of this forum you'll see the one listing the regional groups around the U.K. but I'm not sure that Northamptonshire fits neatly into any of them.

There are regular events organised by the Beds/Bucks/Herts Bordering on the ridiculous group and also the Brummie Meet Committee but I haven't noticed any other regular event groups close to you.

Maybe there's a niche waiting to be filled? :D

There are a number of active cachers in Northants, but no formal meets. The Allotment Gardener has organised some excellant well-attended events in th past, normally in the summer to co-incide with the allotment open day in Northampton. Apart from that Jollyjax has organised a few events and there are regular events in Oxford and by the East Anglian Caching Forum which are very friendly. We also attend the Cachewalker events :

Cachewalker

mostly in the cotswolds if you're happy for a bit of a walk.

Apart from that as the saying goes 'if you build it, they will come'..........

Any news on the Northants group?

Neil,

Are you on facebook? If so, try: http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/gro...gid=47540850959

I was just wondering if anything ever materialised from this, ie a Northants Group/Meet, only I would love to attend a regular meet/event at a local pub or something with others if there were other people also interested in this. ??

CacheWalker events are organised by a group of cachers (known as CacheWalkers) who prefer to go caching by byway, not highway! We have an active forum here, to discuss caching and share good walks - Visit link to CacheWalker Forum

That part of the world (country!) there's emCache -East Midlands Cachers- but they tend to be rather North of you, Leicester/Notts/Derby area.

Yes, emCache is very active, but a little north of you, as Bear and Ragged said, but that doesn't mean you can't join their forum, or attend one of their regular events :)
