+OneKindWord
What is the etiquette for retrieving a trackable from a cache that you've already logged? There are many caches near my home and office locations that are popular for placing trackables. I assume the trackable item's owners would like it to move along as quickly as possible. Is it considered acceptable to retrieve the trackables from the cache without logging a find or posting a note on the cache? Obviously I will log the trackable and continue it towards its goal ASAP, which would remove it from the inventory on the cache page. To me, it seems like it should be fine as I would be accomplishing two things - adding a new trackable to my stats and helping it towards it's goal quickly. Thanks for any guidance, just want to make sure I'm not breaching any etiquette with the game! Quote Link to comment
+webscouter.
Log a note on the cache instead of a find and grab those trackables! You can always revisit a cache to grab a trackable. The only flack you will get is if you log the visit as a find. Quote Link to comment
+DJ.J.ROCK
i use the write a note,, and say something like coin/tb-- drop/pickup. so yould get the coin and log a note that say "coin pick up!" or "tb swap!!" Quote Link to comment
+maldar
I never revisit a cache just to move a coin/trackable. With the one exception that the owner of the trackable ask me to move it along. That is just how I play the game. Just like I don't log a find on caches that I have adopted to other cachers. Quote Link to comment
