Brewha Posted March 10, 2009 Share Posted March 10, 2009 I could have sworn I saw a schematic on how to easily build a 12V power cord to plug into a cigarette lighter socket. I've tried searching this and other sites and have come up empty. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? Or where to find directions on how to do it? Thanks! Quote Link to comment
Brewha Posted March 11, 2009 Author Share Posted March 11, 2009 haHA! Thank you sir! It took a bit of digging, but starting from that link, I ended up HERE - which is what I remembered seeing before. I have an old cell phone charger that has the built in 3.3V regulator - I just have to solder that to the correct wires in my data cable and no more wasting batteries while I use this GPS in my car, motorcycle or snowmobile.
