+Star*Hopper
Haven't seen this suggested before....thought I'd run 'er up the flagpole, see who shoots at it. Whattaya say we all get together & demand a declaration of one month annually being a Micro Moratorium Month -- no Micros (or smaller) planted for the whole month!?! And, since it's got a rhythm to it....(and it's MY idea....or thread at least)...I'd suggest March. We could have a Motto: "I've upped my cache size -- UP YOURS!!" Sell bumpa stickaz....T-shirts/hats....mugs........moustache wax... ~* Quote Link to comment
+sbell111
Sure. Then the next month we can have a 'no large caches' month and then a 'no small caches' month and then a 'no puzzle caches' month and then a 'no hard caches' month and then a 'no easy caches' month and then a 'no hiking caches' month and then a 'no park and grab caches' month. How many months are left? Quote Link to comment

Not only would there not be any new microcaches placed that month ,,, those volunteer reviewers would get a much needed, month long vacation too! edited to spell the word volunteer correctly Edited March 4, 2009 by Mudfrog Quote Link to comment

Mushtang
So the company is going to tell half of it's customers, "For one month stop doing the thing that you enjoy most with this business" and somehow that's going to improve sales? Or maybe your goal isn't to improve the business, just to improve the game according to your preferences. But since such a large portion of hiders clearly like to hide micros wouldn't it make more sense to have a month where only micros are hidden, and no other sizes? Quote Link to comment

The whole purpose for March Micro Moratorium Month is so that April will see twice as much placed. Quote Link to comment
+tozainamboku
I'm glad to see that affirmative action is alive and well. Instead of letting people place the kinds of cache they want to place, lets have an affirmative action program that encourages more of the caches I like to find. Quote Link to comment

Can we have a month dedicated to short cachers too? No cache to be placed higher than 6ft? Sell bumpa stickaz....T-shirts/hats....mugs........moustache wax... Put me down for a Ladies T shirt, size medium please. (In mauve) MrsB Quote Link to comment

+Xaa
Some educated guessing would tell me that if you look at the sizes for the founds, you'd approximately come up with: micro's 41.5% small 28.1% regular 22.6% large 0.8% virtual 1.2% the rest 5.9% I guess micro's are by far the most popular :-( . So it sounds like tough luck Quote Link to comment

+bflentje
That's one more month it'd take King Boreas to get to 2000 hides. Quote Link to comment

Mushtang
We could make April 'Hide what you like to find' month. How about we make every month be "Use Filters To Avoid Sizes You Don't Like Month"? Or is that too helpful for some of the Complainers? Quote Link to comment

Mushtang
How about we take everything so serious that we suck the fun out of a light hearted thread attempt? Either this was a serious topic and nobody is sucking the fun out of it, or it was just a joke thread in which case it should have been posted in the Off Topic forum, or the topic starter wasn't serious but wanted people to think he was in which case he's just trolling. Which do you think this is? Quote Link to comment
+The Blorenges
Surely, as it's geocaching related, it's on topic for Geocaching Topics? I took it as a light-hearted OP simply injecting a little humour. MrsB Edited March 4, 2009 by The Blorenges Quote Link to comment

+Moose Mob
We seem to have more and more threads that use 'humor' as a thin mask over ugliness. Focus on the mask... not what you think is behind it. 1) you may be wrong. 2) ignorance is bliss. 3) focus on the fun. (my personal choice) Quote Link to comment
