A Pictoral Mapping Quiz

Google Earth doesn't zoom in far enough, but there is a Concorde at East Fortune and the nearest cache would be RAF East Fortune. I had thought there was a cache at the museum but it must have been archived?

I do reckon the answer is wrong though, as East Fortunes Concorde is inside a hanger, but the image may have been taken before it was moved indoors?

Having found a Concorde history which lists the final resting place of all surviving concordes, and going by your response above It's at the Museum of Flight, Seattle. Nearest cache is Delta Nauti Cache

Yup, that's the one indeed (I rotated the image round a wee bit to confuse). Well done and over to you!

no idea, but very interested how you got the terrain(?) to show on the map. Can be very handy me thinks. Care to let me in on that one?

Not sure whether I'v misunderstood your question but:

Go to the cache page

click the "Geocaching.com Google Map" link

In the map frame hit the "Satellite" button.

I'll let it run a while longer before adding any hints but I'm pretty sure there are people on here who will recognise it.

I meant, the 4/5 stars below the cache icon? *(I guestimated it was the terrain rating rather than the difficulty, that might have caused confusion)

An no, that's GCVote a site for rating caches, it then shows the ratings on the map and your searches via a firefox extension.

I suppose the fact that it's been given 4/5 stars gives you a hint that the cache isn't a micro in a hedge  or maybe not

It's GC1Q9AJ The first one http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...f6-d1bb990e7364 - But someone else will have to set the next one, as I'm off to the wild places of the Channel Islands...

As I did not stepped up last time when I got one I will try my first effort so go gently...

Its been pretty quiet here for a few weeks...

Now these three Earthcaches are:......

In an area where boxes are not allowed.

Two of the three have a direct connection or Special Relationship with Fingals Cave.

The process that formed two of the caches are reflected in the third cache.

Are not in Europe.

Are not far from a Big ski area

Close to some Lakes

And when the day comes, I hope I'm not there. Although Charton Heston, Genevieve Bujold and Ava Gardner were.

Anyone of these caches will do to get the Ding.
