Tha Saint Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 (edited) Is there somewhere that I can see what the difference looks like on coin finishes... Like what does antique gold look like compared to satin gold, or what does polished nickel look like compared to satin nickel & so on... I have not seen many finishes, so this would be helpful.. thanks Edited February 24, 2009 by Tha Saint Quote

tadpole379 Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 In that chart, the top 2 rows are polished metals, and the foggy is the same as satin. Quote

Jackalgirl Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Also, I think that they mean "antique" where they say "anti-". Quote
maldar Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 I think that some people/places call some of the finished different things. You are correct on that. The mint I when with called the Antique Gold, Antique Copper; and vise versa. When I sold them I called them as I saw them. I don't know how the antiquing process can turn gold to an orange color and copper to a yellow color. I think they were full of BS, personally. Quote
opalsns Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 In a nut shell ...... Polished Nickel looks like CHROME Satin Nickel looks like Brushed ALUMINUM. I tried to reply to your email, but my email came back undeliverable. It could be my new email that myfairpoint.net gave me. Opalsns Quote
