+family extremes Posted February 22, 2009 Share Posted February 22, 2009 Just wanted to introduce ourselves. We are a family of four who are very active in outdoor activities. We enjoy rock climbing, white water rafting and kayaking, and camping/backpacking as well as nature and extreme sport photography. We recently found geocaching as an answer to our need for fun weekend family outings. Being brand new, we will have lots of questions. I am very experienced in orienteering and mapwork, but the use of GPS devises is new to me. We own a Magellan Explorist300, which I am shaking my head trying to figure out. We found our first cache this morning, but, being completely frustrated with the GPS, I finally resorted to the "old school" compass... We (me, my wife, our 13 year old boy and 6 year old daughter) are very excited to continue more treasure hunts Paul and family. (family extremes) Quote Link to comment
