City Nav NT 2009 - Windows Vista

Hello all. On my windows vista, i try to install CN NT 2009. Unfortunately, at starting screen, right after clicking install button, it stops installation operation and following pop-up message appears: "CN NT cannot install OR you cancel the installation..."

Note: the installation works fine on my XP's pc.

 

- What can i do to fix this issue?

Try shutting your computer down then try again after the reboot. I have CNNT 2009 on three of my computers One an XP machine, the other two Vistas. One 32bit the other 64bit. I had no issues.

Maybe it wants administrator privileges for the installation?

Try to right click onto the setup file and select "run as administrator"

Let me know if this works.

Dang I do not recall if I had trouble loading or not but have found that "run as administrator" has done the job with other programs that I have had in loading.

Unfortunately, even with admin right, it does not work. Install procedures still fail.

I had same exact problem installing City Navigator 2009 upgrade. I had to uninstall everything from Garmin, reinstall City Nav 8, theen when I went to install 2009 it worked. I then installed the rest of my Garmin software.

-ah , i'll try this avenue...to re-install CN8 before, and then CN 2008 and finally 2009. thanks.
