Player and Engine Version?

Good evening everyone!

 

I've seen notes explaining how to go about checking your Wherigo Player and Engine version that is currently running on your gps.

 

How does one go about getting the most up to date player and engine on their gps? Is there a way to download the newest version and load them to my Garmin or is that something that comes along with Garmin Updates and you just have to wait?

 

I'm running a Garmin Oregon 300 running update 2.8.

 

My Wherigo versions are:

 

Player: 2.80

Engine: 2.11

I have read other threads here that mention that even though the version numbers of the Engine 2.11 are the same on both the Colorado and the Oregon - there are differences.....

The player updates are included in the software updates from Garmin. You have to wait for Garmin to issue them.
