+Aix sponsa
Has anyone else had problems with Google Earth 5.0 If I remove all symbols, especially the geocaching pins. as soon as possible, Google Earth seems to work most of the time. Otherwise it locks up and sends an extensive file to a temporary file that I have. One of the main complaints seems to be symbols not found or recognized. Is anyone else having this problem. I am using Windows XP. I tried to go back to a previous restore point but whatever is causing the problem was not removed and was causing problems with the 4.3(?) copy that I previously downloaded. Everything worked fine until I clicked on this update. Two roads diverged in a wood, and I-I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference. ~Robert Frost Quote Link to comment

I'm running it under XP. I'm still using GE 4 Plus on my Macs without any problems. I haven't tried 5 on the Macs yet. Hopefully they will fix that problem in the next update of GE, It is still in beta. Quote Link to comment
+Low Bat
My problem was more the other way around. When I used GE 4.3 the hang time for loading geocaches was about a minute. After I upgraded to GE 5 beta everything loaded in seconds. I'm using Windows Vista. Quote Link to comment
+EScout
I like 5.0 and it works well on my PC, XP SP3. It actually solved the problem I had with the previous version that hung the program every time I tried to add a new Path. 5.0 is also running good on another PC, Vista Home Premium, SP1.
